I am feeling a little burnt out.
I am usually on the go go go but I don't want to go!
I want to STOP and do nothing. That wouldn't be bad...
but i've felt like this for about two weeks.
You know that song... "Today I don't feel like doing anything..."
I feel like that that song is my daily theme song and I am not getting anything done!
I am running out of tomorrows and there is so much that I need Nate's help on before he goes
that list even overwhelms me and he has training and so much other things to do...
Everyone tells me just to take one step at a time. YOu know "baby steps"
but I don't want to take any steps. I just want to do NOTHING!
I need to get out of my slump but that would take effort, which I obviously don't have.
(I am actually running out of ways to express the lack of effort I have)
So if anyone knows how to get rid of the lazies please let me know.
CAuse I am stuck.

GI Teddy
Alpha Co had a little teddy Bear party for the children who parents are getting deployed. It was at hollywood connections. We went and took Ammon to see Hop. Which I laughed my face off but Nate thought it was just okay. Then we got to ride all the rides and play some games.
After we party hardy for a while we went and had some cake and then Miss American Fork gave each kid a build a bear teddy bear with an Army uniform and voice recording machine to record Nates voice and put it in the bear. I am really grateful that Nate's company put together the teddy bear party and I had fun spending time with Nate and Ammon before Nate goes.
Here are some fun pictures...

Ammon was SOOOO excited to ride the crazy bus!
Until the ride started moving and then he wasn't to sure.
FAILED Attempt Numero Uno!
I tried making jelly and it exploded.
Well exploded-ish

I am going to try again but I think I am going to start with freezer jam. I heard that they are easier.
I also made some home-made bread but got interupt and messed it up too.
I'll have to try again and maybe again and again and again and then
maybe a hundred and twenty six again laters I might get it right.
Wish me luck
Oh by the way.
If anyone knows how to get burnt jelly off of my stove. PLease let me know?
OH PS
The part that didn't explode tasted pretty good... Just thought I put in the part to show it wasn't a COMPLETE failure. Just 97.5% failure lol

not just a pickle....
Thought this was some crazy cool information
some of it freaks me out just a little and most of it I want to try to see if it works
WOW WHAT A LITTLE GEM THE CUCUMBER IS, I WILL LOOK AT IT DIFFERENTLY NOW.
1. Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.
2. Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.
3. Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror, it will eliminate the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.
4. Are grubs and slugs ruining your planting beds? Place a few slices in a small pie tin and your garden will be free of pests all season long. The chemicals in the cucumber react with the aluminum to give off a scent undetectable to humans but drive garden pests crazy and make them flee the area.
5 Looking for a fast and easy way to remove cellulite before going out or to the pool? Try rubbing a slice or two of cucumbers along your problem area for a few minutes, the phytochemicals in the cucumber cause the collagen in your skin to tighten, firming up the outer layer and reducing the visibility of cellulite. Works great on wrinkles too!!!
6.. Want to avoid a hangover or terrible headache? Eat a few cucumber slices before going to bed and wake up refreshed and headache free. Cucumbers contain enough sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish essential nutrients the body lost, keeping everything in equilibrium, avoiding both a hangover and headache!!
7. Looking to fight off that afternoon or evening snacking binge? Cucumbers have been used for centuries and often used by European trappers, traders and explores for quick meals to thwart off starvation.
8. Have an important meeting or job interview and you realize that you don't have enough time to polish your shoes? Rub a freshly cut cucumber over the shoe, its chemicals will provide a quick and durable shine that not only looks great but also repels water.
9. Out of WD 40 and need to fix a squeaky hinge? Take a cucumber slice and rub it along the problematic hinge, and voila, the squeak is gone!
10. Stressed out and don't have time for massage, facial or visit to the spa? Cut up an entire cucumber and place it in a boiling pot of water, the chemicals and nutrients from the cucumber with react with the boiling water and be released in the steam, creating a soothing, relaxing aroma that has been shown the reduce stress in new mothers and college students during final exams.
11. Just finish a business lunch and realize you don't have gum or mints? Take a slice of cucumber and press it to the roof of your mouth with your tongue for 30 seconds to eliminate bad breath, the phytochemicals will kill the bacteria in your mouth responsible for causing bad breath.
12. Looking for a 'green' way to clean your faucets, sinks or stainless steel? Take a slice of cucumber and rub it on the surface you want to clean, not only will it remove years of tarnish and bring back the shine, but is won't leave streaks and won't harm you fingers or fingernails while you clean.
13. Using a pen and made a mistake? Take the outside of the cucumber and slowly use it to erase the pen writing, also works great on crayons and markers that the kids have used to decorate the walls!!

Flip-Flop-Ology
What is a Flip Flop?
A fashion Statement?
A Shoe?
An artistic piece of art?
or all of this and an attitude?
Winter is coming to an end and Spring is calling my name.
It is time to whip out the flip flops and pretend that I am walking on the beach
with my feet protected from the heat but I can still feel the sand between my toes.
No more tying or sock lint between your toes!
You don't even need to wear pantie hoes.
Just like your soul every ones feet are unique.
It is time to bust out the painted toe fashion show
and show off your unique soul feet accented with a canvas of flip flop!
ODE to the Flip Flop

What little boy DOESN't wear make up?
Happy Saint Patty's Day!
The Mountains are Calling!
We finally went hiking~
After only three hikes last year our legs were itchin and our fingers twitchin to get back into the mountains!!

Ammon loved to explore and march around in the dirty and throw rocks in the water. We would have to use our quick cat like reflexes when ever his aim was off!
We had soooo much fun hiking in the mountains. I am not sure if Ammon will let us put him the back pack again. He is such an outdoors boy and I can't wait to take him camping and fishing this year.
I tried loading a video but it was taking way to long! Just imaging how cute Ammon was being. lol

Appreciation
Well I say! Sometimes you have to go without something to really appreciate an item.
I would like to say I am a person with gratitude (most of the time at least... I do have my snobby moments) but I am going to argue, from experience, that you can't really.. and I mean REALLY.. appreciate something until it is gone.
For instance..
When I lived in VA we didn't have a microwave for the first month. At first I thought.. "Eh! No biggie. We don't really use a microwave that much." But Lo-and-behold the very next day I wanted to re-heat some food and it wasn't so easy without a microwave. I also had problems with microwave popcorn, heating up canned veggies, boiling water quick, ECT ECT! Needless to say.. I only lasted a month B4 I gave in a bought a microwave.
Well... now we are in our new place in Herriman. It is a brand spaken new apt complex so NO internet company will provide for us. They will provide for the houses a block down the road from us but they need to get special permission to go a block higher. So we are stuck with SLOW crap-ole-A service that came with the building because NO ONE else provides service out here! ARG! Will I ever take for granted high-speed internet again?? I THINK NOT!!!!!
Also, in the move we lost our camera charger and then the camera. That is a sad story in it’s self because now I have a void in our pictures and lost frozen in time moments FOREVER.
SOOO.... to make my really long story short. Between crappy internet and no camera I haven't been on my blog for a while and I sure missed everyone!
Also.. I hope me being gone has made you appreciate me more... HAHAHA! Just kidding.

Gonna miss the beach!
One of the nicest things about living in VA is being so close to the beach. The only problem is it is finally getting warm enough for us to really enjoy the beach and now we are moving :(
This last weekend it was 80 degrees so we decided to make it a beach day. Even though it was suppose pretty warm that day there was a cold breeze and it was foggy at the beach but we still had a lot of fun.
Ammon, Fiji and I kept running away from the waves and Ammon thought it was SO funny. He would actually get mad when we would stop.
So then we tried to bury Fiji but he wouldn't hold still!
Then We burried Nate and I tried to make him look like a Mermaid.
and... Nate burried just right :)
Then we got spin around in the Belly of a big monkey. (I don't want to hear about it Karlee)
This was Ammon's favorite ride but Nate wasn't so sure about it.

Right next to the beach was a little carnival so we decided to take Ammon on a couple of rides.
The Helicopter ride! Nate got to impress us with his great helicopter skills lol

Happy Saint Patty's Day!
We had such a good Saint Patty's Day!
We ate green food, washed our hair with green shampoo and conditioner bottles, we use green dove soap, dressed up in green clothes and even wore green make-up!
We also wore Saint Patty's green pj's!
That is why Nate's shirt doesn't match ours.

I told Nate when he came home he had to talk in an Irish accent the WHOLE time. But he only did it for a little bit... the stinker!

I would've done it but my Irish accent always turns out sounding Arabic.
Don't ask me how?

What's yours is mine! What's mine is mine!
Everytime we go to the bookstore we get ammon a book.
This last time I found a really cute little pop-up book and I just knew Ammon was going to love it.
The problem is that Ammon does love it. He loves it with his destruct-o- side and he wants to tear all the poor little pop-outs out! I know! Can you believe it? A baby who wants to tear paper!
I am really not as dumb as I am sounding. I knew when I bought the book that he would probably try to tear the pop-outs but the book was soooooo cute and I just figured I could just keep a close eye on him.
NOPE
So I did the only thing expected to do.
I hid the book and I will give it to Ammon when he graduates high school.
How to Torture your Child
So.. Sometimes Nate and I wake up in the morning, stretch and then we start brain storming… “Hmmm how can we torture our child today?”
This one particular morning we decided that we were going to cut his shag. We were hoping we weren’t Samson-iting Ammon but how could we risk an opportunity to torture our child? We decided it was worth the risk. (Plus I just can’t handle the bed head look ALL day long!)
So we put Ammon in his high chair and Nate (yes Nate) Buzzed off Ammon’s hair. He gave him a “high and tight” which is a military style hair cut. I just kept telling myself that his hair will grow back. It’s a little choppy but I think it is pretty cute. Luckily Ammon is young enough that he PROBABLY won’t remember us emotionally scaring him with an electric razor for the rest of his life. (That’s why we took pictures j/k. actually the camera died right before we got any good pictures.)
